Dr Lutz Cleemann joined the IRGC S&T in 2004.
Since 2008 he serves as Senior Adviser of the Sustainable Business Institute to support the research project Climate Change – Financial Markets – Innovation funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Previously, he was the Managing Director of the Allianz Center for Technology (AZT) – a subsidiary of the insurance branch of Allianz Group and the largest on-site research centre within the insurance industry in Germany. Dedicated to damage and risk research and prevention, AZT provides research and consulting services in areas such as Damage Analysis, Operational Safety, Analysis of Technical Risks, Due Diligence, Risk and Safety Management, Sustainable Development Strategies. He also served for 10 years as Chairman of the International Sustainability Strategy Team of the Allianz Group and as the company’s Liaisons Delegate for the WBCSD of the Allianz Group.
Lutz Cleemann holds a PhD in Experimental Nuclear Physics from the University of Cologne and has extensive experience in risk consulting, technology assessment and safety research and he is member of the Pandemic Advisory Council (PAC) of Hoffmann-La Roche.
